Arch Manning Ran Faster On Saturday Than Tyreek Hill Has All Season

A Manning who can ALSO run? Has anybody talked about this yet, folks? That should be illegal!!

I'm not sure how this is at all possible. Not the Manning being able to run part. His mom was likely a fast woman. That's how genes work. It's just difficult for me to wrap my mind around the idea that Arch Manning could reach a speed anywhere close to as fast as Tyreek Hill. Let alone exceed him. Obviously Tyreek Hill is the faster man. His acceleration compared to Arch Manning's is on an entirely different level. Back in his rookie season, Tyreek was clocked at 23.24 mph. I'm also willing to bet Tyreek Hill hits top speed in about a quarter of the time it takes Arch Manning. But it's just like a few years back when Daniel Jones clocked one of the highest top speeds of the entire NFL season.

The numbers don't lie. Daniel Jones had one of the fastest moments on 2020. It's just when I see this big goofy ass white dude (who stinks out loud at quarterback by the way).

And I'm told he's able to exceed speed of 20 mph. It makes my brain short circuit. 

I'm much more willing to accept Arch Manning's speed. I already have far more respect for Arch Manning's football playing ability than I ever did for Daniel Jones. But still, when I watch his run against UTSA, it doesn't even strike me that he's running exceptionally fast. I suppose when you're 6'4", and get those long legs churning in 50 yards of open space, that's just simple physics. Naturally, it's going to look a hell of a lot slower than tiny little 5'10" Tyreek Hill taking half yard steps at the speed of which a humming bird flaps its wings.

I still find it a bit wild that a quarterback as talented as Arch Manning was fully willing to sit the bench for two entire seasons at Texas. Especially the way the transfer portal nowadays, where quarterbacks can pick and choose exactly where they want to go and be given the starting job at the drop of a hat. I understand Arch Manning is in a different position than most. He has family money, on top of his own millions of dollars he's being paid by Texas to wade in the wings until Quinn Ewers time is up. But I also have to believe he could have gotten similar money from, say, Ohio State. I bet even last year he was a better option than Kyle McCord. But good for him, and good for Texas. It appears he made the correct choice. Not many schools can lose a QB like Quinn Ewers and not skip a beat.
