Gross. Disgusting. Revolting. Sickening. Stomach-churning. Nauseating. All words I would use to describe the gash on Irene Aldana's forehead this weekend. That honestly may truly be the worst cut in UFC history. It's so bad it makes the other bruuutal slice on her eyelid look like a little scratch.

Aldana obviously suffered that cut against Norma Dumont at UFC Noche - which couldn't have lived up to the hype any more in my opinion. Irene Aldana may not feel the same way, after leaving with 50+ stitches in her forehead from an accidental headbutt, but I literally couldn't believe my eyes at the visuals they put on.

It even made up for the co-main and main events not being all that exciting, because mind blowing doesn't even begin to do it justice. It's Disney-esque and makes you feel like you've been transported into another world, or a Mortal Kombat level or something….

Dana White still swears that because of the production costs and the UFC's contract with the T-Mobile Arena, that the event at the Sphere was a one-off the UFC will never run again - but that would be a travesty. This should be a yearly event with a different theme for each card; do Fourth of July next year, do a PRIDE Legacy event on the anniversary of their first card, do a love letter to Brazil for their Independence Day. It would be awesome, and the UFC showed this weekend that they could do it better than anyone.

Maybe the WWE will run it next, people will say they one-upped the UFC, and Dana White will come down with the hammer to make sure the UFC is still at the top of that mountain. We could only hope!
