Bring This Tradition To America: An Italian Soccer Team's Giant Flamingo Mascot Joined The Players To Get Scolded By Fans After Losing 4-0

Saying I love this would be underselling it completely. We need this tradition in America. We need teams going to the fan section to get scolded by the fans after losing. Not just the players either. Bring the mascot like Cagliari did here with their giant flamingo standing there to apologize. I want this at all levels of sports too. Mark Stoops and Scratch need to be standing there apologizing to the student section and boosters for that cowardly punt on Saturday. I got some words for you Scratch, you're part of the team.

Gotta give credit to old Pully here. He knows the shame in losing 4-0. He's standing there, towering above everyone, head down. He's gotta apologize for not putting in enough effort. It's the team, the team, the team. It starts and ends with everyone. Bench players, assistant coaches, the mascot. You don't just get to hide behind a flamingo head, you gotta face the music when you get your ass handed to you.

Think about all the embarrassing performances we see in the NFL. You're telling me you wouldn't want to be able to get on a bullhorn and scold the players as they stand there? Instead we get some half ass press conference saying they need to do better after we boo. Hell, the other half of the time they get mad the fans had the audacity to boo them. Fuck that, come apologize to us and listen to what we have to say. You stink at your job, come get scolded. That's how it should be, mascots included.
