The Bears Got Bullied By The Texans In Primetime

Another loss for the primetime Bears. It doesn't seem to matter how many things change, we are just stuck on the same hamster wheel. It's only week 2 so I don't want to be all doom and gloom. This is going to be a good news/bad news blog.

Good news...the Bears fought hard for 4 quarters on the road against a bonafide playoff team.

Bad news...the Bears didn't look like a playoff team.

Good news...the Bears defense looks fucking LEGIT

Bad news...the offensive like is going to get Caleb killed.

We knew there would be bumps in the road for Caleb, but I didn't think there would be three pot holes in the interior offensive line. This is how you ruin a QB. The Bears have to do something about this interior line because you can't grow and learn if you're getting hit in the mouth and running for your life on every single play. I did say that this was a learning year and year 1 of the project, but they might need to dip into some draft capital to beef up the offensive line. There's no way forward if they keep playing like this. Shelton and Davis are an abomination. The only time they protected Caleb all day was that late hit out of bounds.

Next week in Indy feels fucking HUGE now for any playoff hopes. Have to get wins against other teams with rookie QBs. I like the fight from the team, but this offense has a LONG way to go. Big Cat show tomorrow for drive time.
