Valentina Shevchenko Is BACK

Valentina Shevchenko must've heard all the haters and doubters claiming she was "washed" or starting to "look old" after her last couple bouts with Alexa Grasso, because she fought tonight like she took that to heart! We just saw complete and utter domination for five straight rounds in the UFC Noche co-main event, where Valentina took back the UFC Women's Flyweight Championship via "smesh" - as Khabib would say.

Valentina would simply grab ahold of Grasso, drag her to the floor, and then hold her against the canvas for the remainder of the round - over and over and over again. Grasso had a few submission attempts the crowd got excited about, but I'm not sure she was ever really close to completing any of them - and they just expended her energy and gassed her out more than anything.

It wasn't all that exciting, but considering how hard fought and back-and-forth their first to matchups were, this was a shocking result in my eyes - and probably one of the most flawless performances of Valentina Shevchenko's Hall of Fame career.

Thank god for Raul Rosas, Lazy Boy, and Diego Lopes - otherwise it wasn't the best night for Mexican fighters! Our main event is up next!

P.S. Speaking of Diego Lopes, he went to the back after his fight, got through his medical check, and immediately went back out to the arena to corner Alexa Grasso....

They didn't get the win, but still a badass move.

P.P.S. This is still one of the most badass combat sports photos ever taken....
