Oh No: Quinn Ewers Goes Down, but Arch Manning Throws a TD Pass on His First Play

I don't think anybody had Texas-UTSA circled as one of the most important games on today's college football slate, but it may have provided one of the most critical moments of the season. Quinn Ewers went down after a handoff and walked off the field into the medical tent. We don't know the extent of the injury yet, but Ewers looked quite frustrated leaving the field.

If you're a Texas fan looking for a reason to stay calm right now, though, the silver lining is Arch Manning came in and threw a touchdown pass on his first play.

What a story it would be if Arch has to step in for an extended period of time for a team that looks like a legitimate national championship contender. Nico Iamaleava and Jackson Arnold have stepped into starting roles in the SEC this season; will the other top QB in the 2023 class now be forced into action?
