EA Sports Is Adding One Random Florida High School to College Football 25

Uhhhh ... ok, I guess? For those of you who had been wishing the No. 49 high school team in Florida would be included in EA Sports College Football 25, I have some incredible news.

I really don't know the last time I was this confused by an announcement. There's just going to be one random high school in CFB25 for some reason? Edgewater High School is a couple miles from the EA's Orlando studio, so I guess that has something to do with it. I just don't really see what this is doing for anybody.

Now, if EA announced it was going to put the 25 best high school programs in the country in the game with their real rosters — pretty much every state with all the top schools now allows high school athletes to receive NIL money — and you could have actual recruits involved in Dynasty and Road To Glory, that would be incredible. If we're adding Edgewater High School, I don't see why that would be too far-fetched.

But if I was a big fan of an FCS school and we got a high school in this game before actual Division I colleges, I'd be pretty pissed off. Literally nobody asked for this.

There's no excuse to not go all the way now, though. Give us IMG Academy and Mater Dei with real 5-stars.
