Sabrina Carpenter Wins "Song Of The Year" At The VMAs And Thanks That Me Espresso

WOOHOOOOO YESSSSSSS!!!! Obviously, right? Espresso is truly the song of the summer, year, decade. If anything else won in this category I probably would've called the whole show fake. We've talked about it a lot over on Taylor Watch but Sabrina Carpenter's rise in the last year or so should be studied. She isn't a new artist by any means, having been around for almost a decade acting and singing, but after opening for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, pumping out a handful of ABSOLUTE HITS alongside incredible, funny, star studded music videos, Sabrina is finally getting her flowers.

A little fun thing to pay attention to during this award show was the Sabrina/Camilla Cabello/Shawn Mendes circle of drama, considering all 3 artists performed the songs that they all wrote about each other. LOL. Sabrina was the best, no offense to the other two:

It's hard not to bring the house down with Please Please Please (praised by Beyonce herself hours before the show,) Taste and of course, Espresso. Sabrina also added in the intro to "Oops I Did It Again" during her entrance to the performance; another piece of the never ending nostalgia they peppered throughout the show. 10's all around. Listen to that crowd while she performs - is this the VMAs, or a Sabrina Carpenter concert???

SHE'S WORKING LATE, CAUSE SHE'S A SINGER!!!
