No One Gives Less Of a Fuck Than Benoit Paire: Shows Up To Tennis Tournament, Loses Match in 37 Minutes, Collects 1200 Euros And Laughs His Way To The Bank

Confession: I have an obsession with French tennis player/maniac Benoit Paire. Ever since the start of covid this dude lost his fucking mind and basically stopped caring about winning matches. He hops around from tournament to tournament, loses immediately, collects his appearance check, and leaves.

Well none of that has really changed of late. His recent results history is hilarious.

And what happened today? How about losing in 37 minutes.

THIRTY SEVEN MINUTES in a challenger event in his home country! Incredible. I'd say the average tennis set is around 30-40 minutes. Some go as long as an hour+. This entire match went 37 minutes.

Dude won one game. His reaction?

King. Benoit Paire is 35 years old and has made over $8M in his career just off on-the-court earnings. I have no idea why he's still bouncing around these challenger events. Keep in mind, challengers are the minor leagues of tennis. These are small tournaments with minimal fans and small prize money. His ranking is so bad that he doesn't come close to qualifying for main draw ATP events. He has no chance of playing in grand slam tournaments. It's incredible he hasn't retired. Then again he collected 1200 euros for 37 minutes of work. Doesn't really get easier than that. What a life.
