Geno Smith Says His Cousin Jeremiah, Ohio State's Freshman Freak, Is Going To Be The Best Wide Receiver EVER

Listen I know it's one thing when I say that Ohio State freshman Jeremiah Smith is going to go down as the greatest receiver of all time, but it's another when a 12-year NFL Vet says it. Now people are going to wonder, does the last name connection between these two have anything to do with the high praise? Or the fact that he's only played two games in his collegiate career? Or that he's never lined up across from a Power 5 cornerback, let alone an NFL cornerback? I will let you make those qualms if you wish, but I'm going to be over here..........on the right side of history. Because this dude is a motherfucking FREAK.  2 Touchdowns in the first half against Akron, and then he quite literally blew by Western Michigan in Game 2.

And now, through about 6 quarters played, he's already on people's Heisman Radars.

I wonder what Jeremiah Smith stock would cost in the market right now? On one hand he's 18 years old. But on the other hand analysts are calling him the LeBron James of college football with how pro ready he already is. But on the first hand he can't even go pro for a few more seasons. But on the other hand he's already the best WR in college football. And people like Geno Smith, who is in the locker room currently with other physical specimens like DK Metcalf, are already crowning him the GOAT.

So I guess my question is this: what does he need to do to solidify himself as the greatest wide receiver of all time? Give me a list and I will forward it along to JJ. Looks like Jerry Rice finished with 1549 receptions, 22,895 yards, 197 touchdowns, 13 Pro Bowls, 10x All Pro, and 3 Super Bowl rings. If he topped those, would you all crown him King?

*Okay, cocky schtick is over for a bit on this one. I think Jeremiah Smith truly is the best WR in football and he's going to be an all-time great, but it's tough to hype up an Ohio State wideout right now when the previous one who we all called the greatest of all time just turned in this for his Game 1 performance:

Should've stayed in school one more year, Marv! We could've done great things together this season (and you'd have finally beaten Michigan).
