It's A Secret Of The Pros: Happy Gilmore 2 Makes The Smart Decision, Brings Back Julie Bowen And Shooter McGavin For The Movie
Universal. Shutterstock Images.We know that Happy Gilmore 2 is in the works. It's been talked about a lot. But what we didn't know is who would fill out the cast. Do they bring back some of the names we knew from the original? Do they just go a whole different route? Well, good news folks. We have news:
No brainer. You can't have Virginia Venit not be around Happy Gilmore. It's a love story for the ages! But the real story? This guy being back in our lives:
I know his name is Christopher McDonald, but it's Shooter McGavin. Everyone knows him as Shooter McGavin, one of the greatest villains in movie history. Sure he was a clutch golfer for the most part, but buying Grandma's house? Having a guy run over and taunt Happy? Diabolical like you read about. There's a reason we know him as Shooter McGavin, it's because of this movie. He was that character and embraced it more than any other person could have. You need him back as an enemy still. He can't be villain number 1, but he needs to be a key opponent. You can't tell the Tiger story without Sergio, just like you can't tell the Happy story without Shooter (and a lot more wins).
I keep saying this about the movie. I don't have great expectations nor do I really care. I just want to watch something that makes me laugh a few times and has me entertained for 90 minutes. I'm not someone who is going to break down movie scenes, I'm a simple man who wants to watch a comedy and laugh. Maybe someone who eats some hay, makes things out of clay and lays by the bay. Next up, find someone to take the Chubbs role. You can't replace Carl Weathers, but you can have a mentor to Happy Gilmore still.
