'Kegs. Eggs. Football.' - Matt Rhule Found The Perfect Combo To Bring Back The Glory Days Of Nebraska Football

If Matt Rhule wants to play at 9am, play a game at 9am damnit. I don't care about TV contracts, give us a morning football game. He's right, college kids will embrace kegs, eggs and football more than anyone else in the country. You want Nebraska football to be back to the glory days it starts with this combo. I can't think of anything more perfect than Nebraska playing at 9am either. They have the fun quarterback, Matt Rhule is a damn good college coach, they have the name that everyone keeps waiting to be relevant again. Give them the spotlight when the sun is coming up and create a home field advantage.

Everyone can close their eyes and remember a kegs and eggs day. It was special, it meant something when you were younger with no responsibilities and someone threw out that idea for a Saturday. Maybe it was an away game starting at noon or 11am and you wanted to support the boys on campus. One of the people in your house came up with the plan and all week it's what you thought about. Key to have the right person make the eggs. Can't be having gross eggs early when you have the kegs there too.

Maybe I'm just an old, but I remember the glory days of the 24 hour college basketball tipoff. You'd watch Manhattan/Iona at 6am, because why the hell not? You're telling me we can't do this one day for college football. Give me Nebraska/Iowa at 9am. Spread the games out a little bit just for one day on the year and give me non-stop football where I can focus on a game at a time. Let them start the day off at 9, put another one on at like 11 or 11:30 before the noon kickoff. Stagger it. Kegs. Eggs. Football.
