Justin Hawkins of The Darkness' Daughter Can't Wait To Tell Her Friends At School About Taylor Swift Singing "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" At The US Open

Shoutout to Robbie Fox who always has his finger on the pulse when it comes to all these iconic singers/band members for sending me this, because I'll be real - I had no idea Justin Hawkins was active online! I also had no idea he was such a precious angel of a man! The Darkness' biggest song (that's fine to say, right?) was played at the US Open on Sunday and we've seen the video of Taylor Swift singing along to it nonstop at this point. A refresher:

LOVE IT!!! "I believe in a thing called love" is right up there with Mr Brightside in my eyes. 10/10 sound, singability, vibes. Turns out, Taylor is truly a fan of The Darkness/Justin Hawkins, having previously invited him and his daughter to the VIP section of one of her shows, personal note and all.

And so we've come full circle with this moment of her and Travis singing their hearts out and having a good time. I think the most shocking part of everything though, is that for some people, this is the first time they're hearing this song. Younger Swifties don't know The Darkness and as that's already a massive, massive crime - better late than never!! I hope this song gets a huge resurgence (it never went anywhere) and all of the love and blessings belong to Justin Hawkins, and his Swiftie daughter.

Check out our new episode of Taylor Watch where we break down the whole weekend.
