Bullying Works: Days After Saying He Didn't Have a Lane To Play, The Yankees Are Calling Up Top Prospect Jasson Dominguez

It's happening. It's happening. It's happening. The Martian Jasson Dominguez has finally been called up for good. Common sense prevails, bullying works, the whole nine yards. Just a few days after Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman told the media that Dominguez didn't have a lane to play, we get the call-up. That tingle in your balls is not testicular cancer, it's excitement, it's hope, it's euphoria. The Martian has arrived.

Thank fucking god. Oddly enough this morning I got a tip email that Dominguez was coming. I didn't think anything of it, turns out it was dead on aside from how DJ was going to be discarded from the team. The magical email man came through.

Supposedly the vets did not want DJ being DFA'd this late in the year so they pivoted and handed him a phantom IL instead. Boone's quotes pretty much back that up. You're not seeing him again as a Yankee. It was time to end this saga. It was straight up sad to watch him play at this point.

The main part of the story is Dominguez. Cashman said in Chicago that if he got the call he would play every day. It was all about finding him a "lane" which was all bullshit. They waited an extra week for no reason, but I'm done complaining. We got our wish. Tonight he's in CF and batting 6th. Here's the lineup. It's beautiful besides Verdugo still in there, but he's a fucking cockroach you cannot kill it seems.

You'll see Dominguez rotating between left and center depending on if Verdugo is in the lineup. Tonight Stanton gets a breather, but I imagine this spells the end of consistent playing time for Verdugo. Hell, it fucking better.

As healthy as they'll ever be. One game up in the loss column on Baltimore. Three weeks to go in the season. Go time. The invasion has begun.
