The Commies Have A Lot Of Work To Do

Wellllll, that fucking stunk. That stunk a lot. Stunk on ice, stunk in space, stunk everywhere something can stink. Out played, out coached, out scored.

But let's think about this game critically and without bias- the Commanders were set back mightily by the previous regime. The Ron Rivera, Jack Del Rio, and Dan Snyder trio set this franchise back to the point of near extension. Now the new regime has to come in and pick up the pieces, and it's not going to be pretty. Ron's horrendous drafting is obviously clear in the secondary which got torched on basically every single play. We have no WR help for McLaurin whatsoever and the Oline is shaky at best. It's going to be a tough rebuild when every position needs an upgrade.

For the positives- the RBs looked good and for his first career start I liked the cut of Jayden's jib. There will be growing pains, especially with the lack of talent on the offense, but his running ability shined and he didn't make any egregiously bad throws. On the other hand, dude HAS to learn how to slide and not go headfirst on every play. That is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad. Besides that though, decent enough rookie debut for JD.

We're in for a tough season. All we can ask as fans is that they steadily improve week after week. Just build on what they've got and have some of these young guys make some plays and win some games. I have a feeling the 2nd half of the season is going to be much better than this first half.

Giants next week. HTTC.
