Steve Garcia Just Bullied His Way Into Another TKO Victory (That's 5 In A Row)

Steve Garcia is quickly becoming a problem for this featherweight division. This guy is as violent as they come, he's now on a five-fight knockout streak (where he hasn't been to the third round in any of them), and it might just be time he gets a Top 15 opponent after seeing the way he bullied his way into victory over Kyle Nelson.

I mean, Nelson had his back early on in the fight and Garcia displayed a little bit of "get-up jitsu" (shoutout Derrick Lewis) and pivoted right into Nelson - and then used brute strength to hold on and hammerfist his way out of a deeep armbar he got caught in. After that came the elbow you can watch in the clips above, which looked flat out brutal. There's no amount of money you could pay me to willingly take that. If I get hit with one of those, I die. Plain and simple. Game over, man. Game over.

Look at this sequence of photos, though: it's insane that Garcia pulled this one off....

Big Ev mentioned Edson Barboza or even Giga Chikadze as the possible next matchups for Garcia in the Spinnin Backfist groupchat, and I think both of those fights would be fun as hell. Matchmakers would probably be more inclined to give him Edson due to his #15 ranking (as opposed to Giga's #10 spot) but you never know.
