The 49ers Should Be Fined for Hiding Christian McCaffrey's Injury

There is no way to sugar coat it. Fantasy Football & Gambling are a BILLION dollar business with a B! And stuff like what happened on Monday Night Football CANNOT happen. 

49ers Running Back Jordan Mason let it slip that he knew he was starting on Friday night! Yet, San Francisco hid the Christian McCaffrey injury status til 90 minutes before kickoff SCREWING the entire fantasy football world. McCaffrey was the #1 pick universally in 2024 Drafts.

This behavior cannot be tolerated!

I spent $63 of my $200 budget in the Bitcoin league on CMC and my dumbass got outbid for Jordan Mason on the handcuff. I have NEVER made a bigger fantasy mistake in 28 years. It upset me so much that I woke up at 5am Tuesday morning with a knot in my stomach that I only get when I am depressed and something serious is wrong.

Going forward, I expect the 49ers to be conservative dealing with CMC's calf/achilles injury and do not expect him to play Sunday at Minnesota. The only positive of the situation is they did not place him on the IR before the season which would guarantee him missing the first four games.

The other big problem is why would they give CMC big volume when he is coming off injury and Mason looked dominant running for 146 yards Monday Night?!?!? This SF squad is focused on peaking in the playoffs and damn sure needs CMC for a Super Bowl run.

I think he comes back in a few weeks but will get 10-15 carries and catch passes but still split some time with Mason to monitor his work load. To all of my fellow fantasy brethren who got CMC, my heart goes out to you and I hope Jordan Mason is on your teams.
