WR1: Ja'Marr Chase Doesn't Want A New Contract That's One Penny More Than Justin Jefferson, He Wants To 'Beat The Shit Out Of Justin'

So today was the first time all season Ja'Marr Chase spoke to the media. We know the deal now. He wants a new contract, been holding-in for one and no one really has any idea what's going on. Allow Ja'Marr Chase to clear that up, maybe. He says if he wants to beat Justin Jefferson he'll beat the shit out of him, not by a penny. That's gotta make Bengals fans feel great. Nothing like paying a record price for a wide receiver. But then you have Chase saying all of this: 

So he wants money, thinks they are close, today is the deadline and he might not play Sunday. Got all of that? Because I'm about as confused as everyone else. If Chase isn't lying about thinking they are close to a deal, just sign it. You can't be that far off while still getting a ridiculous pay day if that's what you're saying while also dropping the Jefferson line. I know they are friends, but you also know Chase isn't lying here. Who wouldn't want to beat the shit out of the guy who got the record contract for a wide receiver. 

Now, I don't think Chase is WR1 nor do I think he's better than Jefferson. He's elite though. He's a top-5 wide receiver with ease. But I love the quote because I find wide receivers fucking hilarious. They are the best quotes in all of sports, they don't care. Ja'Marr Chase fully embraced it here. One penny more? Not a shot in hell. Millions. That's all he'll settle for. This is a clear message from Chase though. Pay him and pay him a lot.
