While The Entire Basketball World Was Clowning Tyrese Haliburton For His Olympic Run, He Got The Last Laugh By Recruiting Every Player On The Roster To The Pacers

While the entire world was clowning 24 year old Haliburton for even being on the roster, then doubling down on the hate when the future super star didn't get minutes in the final two games of the Olympic gold medal run (he was hurt), it seems Haliburton got the last laugh.

While he might not have gotten the minutes he wanted, Haliburton made sure maximized his time in France by recruiting every single player on team US. I've been on record on the blog saying I hate that Haliburton isn't resting his bad hamstring offseason, BUT being on the Olympic team is essential for building future relationships. The Big 3 of Wade, Bosh, and LeBron probably would have never been put together if those guys didn't spend time together on the US Olympic team. Last year, during the FIBA World Cup, Haliburton and Anthony Edwards played together, then this year at the Olympics they were inseparable. Best friends. The new Big 3 is about to being coming to Indiana.

Partying together!?! Perfect. They can keep celebrating W's when they are on a Pacers roster. History repeats itself, the Pacers are about to be the new Heatles. Everyone who has been to Indianapolis even says it's similar to South Beach.

What a great time to be a basketball fan in the state of Indiana. The Fever are about to make a playoff run, while the Pacers just had a sneaky great off-season without making any big splashes on the free agent market.  Everyone is sucking off the 76ers for getting geriatric Paul George, and slurping the Knicks for overpaying to assemble the Nova Knicks. All big moves that got the east coast elitist media talking, but meanwhile in the beautiful heartland of this great country, Indiana quietly kept their winning roster together with relatively team friendly deals (considering the cap going up) for Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, Tj McConnell, Obi Toppin (sorry Ben Mathurin.) AND, the good news keeps rolling in for Cer's Nation.

The Celtics are still the clear cut #1, and a healthy Knicks and 76ers are absolutely good, but everyone is sleeping on the Pacers who are only going to get better. If the young guys even get 10% better of the offseason, we will be a force in the east. Now next season we are about to have Ant, Bam, while stashing a 50 year old LeBron James on the bench for the playoffs. The future is bright. 50 days Pacers ball is back. Until then, the best backcourt in the WNBA is taking us on a finals run. See you there.
