FINALLY: Scott Hanson Announces We'll Have At Least 3 Games During The Late Window Every Week Because Of How Many People Watch RedZone

How the hell did it take this long for the NFL to realize we needed this? You know what's one of the worse things during the NFL season? When we have 8 1pm games and 2 4pm games. It's brutal. We need at least three because typically you can guarantee one of the 4pm west coast games suck. You need to have the ability to bounce around and what's going to be the game to get TV1. Can't go from the high of the witching hour to two awful games. You need a balance and we're finally getting this with at least 3 minimum in that window.

The other side, it says a lot about how RedZone has just dominated the viewing experience. I know I'm guilty of it. Giants get TV1, RedZone gets TV2 and whatever game I'm most interested in gets TV3. If the Giants aren't on, RedZone just immediately gets TV1 deal. It's not that I don't want to watch a full football game, it's just easier to stay up to date. It's dumb, well aware here, but I assume most people in the world have RedZone on every Sunday, whether it's TV1 or 2.

We all watch football, it's king. I say that because we all know how many bad teams there are in the NFL. Can't rely on one game to entertain you during the 4pm window. We already have the solo slate on Thursday, Sunday night and Monday. I should say I'm shocked the NFL took this long to adapt, but I just choose to believe this is all Scott Hanson getting his wish. Let the man operate the entire weekly schedule.
