ESPN Reporter Field Yates Absolutely Mangles His Shoulder Tackling A Blow Up Football Doll On The Beach For His Fantasy Football League

Source - An ESPN commentator got a real injury from a fantasy league ... dislocating his shoulder while determining a fantasy football draft order -- and, it was all caught on tape.

Field Yates -- a longtime ESPN personality who hosts a show all about fantasy football -- was out on the beach with his cohosts for a skills competition to figure out who would pick first in their fantasy football league.

The Video:

Thank you, Mr. Shefter.

First of all, Field, what the FUCK are you doing at THIRTY-SEVEN years old trying to tackle that hard? Taking any physical risk past the age of 35 is simply unacceptable. Our bodies don't bend the way they used to. For example, I tore (and broke) my shoulder (and part of my bicep) in the lift line skiing last year and it was the worst injury of my life. I wouldn't have even noticed that fall ten years ago. I just turned 35 earlier this month. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes a catastrophic injury to slow you down. This was probably his wake up call. God getting old sucks.

My only hope is that there was alcohol was involved. I'm not saying that makes it better, it just makes it a little less sad. If not, enjoy the limited lifestyle. Surgery is a bitch and recovery is worse. God speed, my friend.
