For Immediate Release: I Am Officially Done Being A Clown For The Reputation (Taylor's Version) Announcement

August 20, 2024 has cemented itself in history as "the biggest clowning day of all time" when it comes to the Swiftiverse. I wrote at length about what we were expecting to get, and I come to you now, with egg on my face. An absolute FOOL. Completely humiliated by my hero. Why? Because we, as fans, are greedy pigs who DONT DESERVE THIS ALBUM!!!!!

No but for real, what a rollercoaster. Swifties love to guess, read into clues, get our hopes up - I think we're all just...really dramatic and looking for an excuse to act like it. I am, at least. The last Eras Tour Show in London was FULL of exciting moments, surprises, and probably went toe to toe with any show announcement that's existed before.

They had a surprise performance of Florida!!! with FLORENCE WELCH:

Then Taylor brought up bestie Jack Antonoff to play a medley of their favorite songs - Death By A Thousand Cuts (unreal) and GETAWAY CAR:

Delivered us one of the most emotional performances we've ever seen in So Long, London:

And then casually dropped a music video for I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, which was comprised of behind the scenes footage of The Eras Tour practice, show prep, and under/behind the stage.

Safe to say that we as fans, were fed despite the lack of snakes. Fed so much we might as well be cut open to spread our foie gras on crackers. AND YET, our self inflicted sadness still stings. We (me) acted like brats. We (me) were chanting MORE when we should've been grateful for what we already have. So, here and now, I am officially saying:

I am done clowning.

I will not be greedy.

I will not be a brat.

Reputation (Taylor's Version) will come when it comes, and it will be WORTH THE WAIT.

Thank you for your time, and may Taylor have mercy on our souls.
