The Latest Oasis Reunion Rumors Suggest 20 Shows In The UK Next Summer

Every few months, Oasis fans put ourselves through the same exact torture cycle. We read Oasis reunion rumors with no real weight/credence to them, get super excited anyway, send said rumors to everyone in our contact lists, and then get disappointed when a few weeks go by and we realize they're bogus rumors and the Gallagher brothers still hate each other.

Now I may be doing the exact thing I just described when I say this, but there's something about these recent rumors that feel different. What recent rumors, you ask?

Well, word on the street is that the Oasis reunion is on for Summer 2025 - for the 30th anniversary of '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' - with 10 shows in their hometown, Manchester, and 10 shows in London at Wembley Stadium. I don't know where this rumor originated, or if there's even anything to suggest it's legitimate, but fans are now connecting the dots on things like Liam tweeting about a "secret photoshoot" and saying he's done being a solo artist and basically booking their flights/hotels for the reunion as we speak.

The host of the main fan-run Oasis podcast has said he's heard it's all but a done deal, just pending Noel's signature (which seems like a massive hurdle in the way of this happening, and the main hurdle that's been holding this up for 15 years) but the reason I say these rumors feel different are because there's been whispers about 2025 since at least 2022.

I remember being hit up by a friend in the music industry years ago who heard that holds were being put on stadiums in the UK for a 2025 reunion, and I didn't believe it at the time - but as we get closer and closer and more and more people are claiming they've heard the same? Fuck it, I'm buying in. 20 shows across 2 stadiums could also allow the brothers to co-exist! If they don't have to go on a full tour together, maybe they don't even have to see each other til they walk on stage! They might not even have to be on the same stage together! Build two stages! Do whatever it takes!

If they make it happen, I will be there no matter what....and I'll make sure to go to the first show, because they could be broken up by the time the second one rolls around.

I'll be sure to keep you all updated on any further developments - but if you don't hear about this from me over the next few months, see: the first paragraph in this blog. I may be gettin got again. I'll believe in this reunion until my dying breath, though.
