Someone Needs To Fix America's All You Can Eat Buffet Problem And Save This Country

USA Today- According to a July 29 news release from the restaurant chain, the "All You Can Eat" deal in question is one that offers endless [food] for $15.99 per person. When the manager informed the table that was not the case, and that each person would have to pay $15.99 for the deal, "words were exchanged." As the couple exited the restaurant, words were exchanged again, the woman was then placed under arrest, another person in the group went back into the restaurant and paid the bill in full after realizing the menu stated the "All You Can Eat" deal was per person.

It should be illegal to arrest someone in an Applebee's, it's like Sanctuary. All who eat in this fine establishment are safe. 

Who amongst us hasn't raised a little hell in Applebee's on a fine summer evening? The place that sells $1 long island ice teas (a drink with 5 different liquors) doesn't get a little rowdy at times? 

I know what I'm getting into when I walk through those doors. Although $1 alcoholic drinks and endless riblet baskets sounds like the foundation of a Utopian society, there are people who will try to abuse a perfect system. Which is crazy, because endless eating good in the neighborhood for $15 ... in this economy!? It's already a steal, no need to get greedy. That's how a good thing goes bad. 

All this falls on the politicians. We used to be a proper country with established all you can eat rules that we worked on at our local Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet. Then, they took the buffet away, and we forgot who we are as a society. Unfortunately, the cost of running an all you can eat deal puts a businesses in danger. Red Lobster had to close down a bunch of locations because they were losing too much money with endless shrimp. How are we supposed to be the best American's we can be if we aren't stuffing ourselves full until we are sick? 

Meanwhile, Chinese Restaurants have an endless buffet of everything from General Tso's, to hamburgers, to soft serve ice cream, and yet they stand financially stable. China has the US beat in every way. 

This is why the politicians need to step in. If the government was willing to protect the banks, why not protect the fine dining establishments that are out here truly serving the American people. Why not give extra help to the restaurant willing to fill my stomach with the daily calories required for an adult bull elephant. Meanwhile you've got the banks hardly willing to give me loan so I can buy a house with a billion % interest rate. 

This lady getting arrested at an Indiana Applebee's could have been any of us. It's not her fault, she's the victim of loose Endless Buffet laws and a society that doesn't care about people trying to help this country grow. That's why from now on, in any election, I'm voting for whatever candidate promises to Make The All You Can Eat Buffet Great Again.
