Dana White Says Conor McGregor Will NOT Fight In 2024 (Somebody Kill Me) ((Pain))

Well what the fuck?! 

After all the talk about Conor McGregor being back to 100% and possibly returning to the octagon in December at UFC 310, and Michael Chandler saying he was giving up on this fight at the end of 2024 and moving on to a new opponent (LOL good luck) - I told everyone who would listen that there was no reason to worry, and that the fight was practically a done deal. I just told everyone backstage at Rough N Rowdy that he's definitely coming back in December….because why wouldn't he?

I was laughed at, mocked, and made of joke of by my coworkers, followers, and even family members for that take - and I regret to inform you that everyone was right to laugh at my naivety there. I was wrong. You were right. I fell for the trap again. 

I probably shoulda known 2024 was off the table when Conor started yugging beers and going to motorcycle rallies last week….

….but I still had faith god dammit! I believed!

This is just such a bummer. McGregor hasn't fought since July 2021 and hasn't won a fight since January 2020; hearing that it'll be until at least 2025 to have the opportunity to see that again was a gut punch I did not expect at the end of a pretty great season premiere of Dana White's Contender Series. Here's a big knockout from the card to help soften the blow….

I guess we're onto 2025. Let's hope next year is the one that sticks.
