Steph Curry Put France To Sleep As Team USA Remains A Basketball Power With Their 5th Straight Olympic Gold Medal

AMERICA!! FUCK YEAH!!!

They say the rest of the world is catching up. I say as far as I can tell Team USA and America still run the world when it comes to the game of basketball. What is this now, 5 Golds in a row?

Seems pretty good in my humble opinion. When the US decides to not screw around and send their best to these competitions, they are still a cut above.

Now credit to France, they played awesome. Yabu was an absolute force. I don't see how he doesn't get an NBA invite after this performance in Paris, but sadly for both Yabu and the rest of France, they do not have Steph Curry. What we saw Steph Curry do today to cement this Gold Medal was all time stuff. It was as legendary as legendary gets, and it was yet another vintage Steph performance. I'll say it again just like I did after the Serbia game.

When Steph is in the zone, there is not a more exciting or electric player on the planet

Watching Steph take over the way he did over the final 3ish minutes, where he was the only one allowed to shoot the ball and he responded by hitting dagger after dagger after dagger. When his final heave went I audibly gasped. We all knew it was coming but then actually seeing it takes it to a whole different level. That's the Steph Curry we know and love and it's why he's one of the greatest to ever do it.

It doesn't even matter that this game was way closer than it needed to be because Team USA couldn't stop turning the ball over. While killing everyone by 40 is always fun, so are games and moments like this. Never in a million years did I ever think we'd have a 3 point game late in the fourth, but it allowed us to have this Curry moment and rip France's heart out on their home floor, and how could you not love that? Who cares what this team would do against the Dream Team, they just had two of the most entertaining Olympic games we've ever seen, and they did what they were supposed to do and finished 6-0.

This team was put together for one purpose, and that was to remind the rest of the world after the FIBA World Cup non-medal performance who really runs the basketball world. Sure there are some decent international guys, but make no mistake, everyone else is still playing for second place.
