Swifties Have Been Gathering In The Streets Of Vienna To Sing, Trade Bracelets And Come Together In Lieu Of Cancelled Taylor Swift Concerts
Oh what, you thought a little terroristic threat to Swifties' lives was going to stop them from coming together and singing as loud as they can in the town square of Vienna, Austria? Nice try, ISIS. Haven't you ever seen The Grinch? Spoiler - the Whos in Whoville still got together to celebrate despite the fact the Grinch stole all the gifts and garb. It wasn't about all that, and it isn't now. It's not about the outfits, or the bracelets. It's not about how good of a seat you have at the concert, or which surprise songs you get - it's about community.
Make fun of me all you want, but I know that the Swiftie community is the strongest thing going these days. It's what makes it so appealing in a time where people (mostly women) are yearning for companionship, love, and a greater sense of belonging to something that isn't so serious. Taylor Swift has provided us with that safe haven. The Eras Tour is not only a concert, but it's an experience unlike anything else. Ask anyone who has been - fan or not - the energy is indescribable. That's why people have been traveling far and wide for these shows - to feel that feeling. Sure, we love Taylor and we love her songs, but to be in one place with hundreds of thousands of other people who are there with the same goal? To sing, dance, and feel lucky to be alive and in that place, all at the same time? FUCK the people who want to take that away from us, but I'm also so proud of the fact that we won't let it. Even when the stakes are as high as they can be - everyone in Vienna is making the most of it, for themselves, as much as each other.

It's honestly hard to watch these videos without crying because I feel so sad for everyone, but also so inspired by the fact they are doing all they can to feel what they need to feel.:
