The Olympics Have To Stop Wasting Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's Time And Making Her Run Semifinal Heats

You wanna talk about a waste of time? It's making Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone run anything besides for a gold medal. She was at a brisk walk, maybe a jog if you wanna be kind to the rest of the field here and still smoked everyone. She's arguably the most dominant athlete we have at the Olympics. She's up there with Katie Ledecky in the 1500m or US basketball (non 3v3 version). I don't care who you want to argue, she's on that list. NBC even zoomed out to try and show the other runners, didn't really work.

This is what Kentucky does though (shout out Union Catholic while we're at it for her). We produce superstars no matter what sport or job or anything like that. Tough to argue after watching Sydney run that race. And sure we get her vs Femke Bol - the woman who ran down our mixed relay team - but this is the hurdles. You think I'm nervous about Femke Bol again? Not when we have Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. This is what she does, she wins gold medals and set records.

So next Olympics if she runs again, let's just all agree to move her onto the finals. We can't be wasting our time, risk of injury or anything like that. Just put her where she belongs and that's in the final heat. Don't know why we have to go with the charade of making her run like she won't qualify without it being a major fluke. Go beat Femke Bol now. Redemption time.
