Conor McGregor Is FURIOUS With Donald Trump For Saying Khabib Is His Favorite UFC Fighter Ever
While on stream with Adin Ross yesterday, avid UFC fan Donald Trump was asked who his favorite fighter of all time was, and he quickly answered: Khabib Nurmagomedov. Not only did he praise the Russian's undefeated record and how he "never lost a round" in his career (which is incorrect, as Conor McGregor defeated him in Round 3 of their fight at UFC 229 on all three judges' scorecards), he also mentioned that Khabib told him he was the only guy who could put an end to the Russia/Ukraine war!
My first instinct upon seeing the clip was to make some kinda joke about taking away Colby Covington's belt/shoelaces, but before I could even get there - Conor McGregor had already caught wind of it and started going off on the former President he had praised so vocally in the past....
As you could see in the tweets embedded above, Conor called this a "campaign ending decision" for Trump, said the former President isn't worth as much as he claims, is baffled that Trump's praising a non-American fighter, and hinted once again at Khabib "fleeing" Russia following tax debt rumors. Plus, he called Khabib a bunch of things that I'd get Russian death threats for repeating - but honestly, given his history, it could've been a lot worse. I was just waiting for a completely unhinged tweet about wishing the bullet didn't miss to come across my timeline. Sometimes it gets dicey like that as a Conor guy.
I definitely think it's a little weird that Trump didn't just mention one of the many American fighters who idolize him/have spoken at his rallies - but then again, I'm not surprised Donald Trump likes the fighter who was basically flawless his entire career.
Regardless of your politics, though, you've just gotta respect a good grudge that will last forever, and that's McGregor/Khabib. I mean Conor McGregor getting this pissed off over Trump praising Khabib on a god damn Adin Ross livestream is hysterical. Starting his first quote tweet with "Campaign ending decision." like the polls are about to flip over this is peak comedy. I'm not sure how much of it is meant to be funny, but it's unquestionably very funny.
Speaking of funny, check out this video....

Conor nope'd right the hell outta there. Oh, and by the way - to everyone wondering why he's dressed like Stone Cold Steve Austin at a motorcycle rally….back off. Sometimes you just wanna go to a motorcycle rally dressed like Stone Cold Steve Austin. I thought this was America? I thought dudes were still allowed to have fun?
Finally, for those waiting on a return announcement, it's looking more and more like December - as long as Michael Chandler doesn't talk himself out of the fight….
It's definitely getting to that "I'll believe it when I see it" point, but I still have faith. It'll be the greatest comeback in sports history.
