INSANE: Katie Ledecky Is So Fast That NBC Has To Zoom Out To Show Her Competitors

How is Katie Ledecky a human being and not a robot? I am not convinced, never have been convinced, and never will be convinced.

She just went back-to-back for Olympic Gold in the Women's 1500m Freestyle, and now owns the TWENTY (20!!!) fastest times in the history of the race.

I want you to take a stab at what the 21st fastest time in history is, behind Ledecky…

Ready for it?

15:38.88.

Yes, a full 18 seconds behind Ledecky. There isn't a female in the world that can even come within arm's length of her in this race. This is levels of dominance we really haven't seen in the Olympics, even factoring in the likes of Michael Phelps or Usain Bolt. She's just ridiculous.

During the race she's often times swimming in the opposite direction of her competitors and they (by they I mean OBS, the company with the Olympics that controls the world feed - because every network gets the same feed; I lied and said NBC in the headline for the sake of the blog, sorry) even have to zoom out at times just to show where everyone else is behind her.

She still has a few more races, including the Women's 800m Freestyle, but we've already eclipsed (a while ago) the moment where she's a legend of the Olympic Games, no matter what she does the rest of the way in Paris.

Just utterly insane.
