Randy Arozarena Hung Out In The Stands Of The Rays Game With His Family And Walked Around The Ballpark Saying Bye To Fans After He Was Traded To Seattle

Cool scene last night in Tampa as Randy Arozarena, a guy who was traded to Seattle early Friday Morning, decided to stick around and bring his family to the game. Yes, you read that correctly, he was traded across the country and then brought his family to the game Friday evening and sat in the stands just like you and I would. No box seats, no suites, not right next to the dugout or anything. They sat right smack dab in the middle of the fans and took in one last Rays game as a family. He probably could have done without the fan standing right in his face recording him but Randy seemed to enjoy it. He was kind of the heart and soul of that team, they went as he went so it was cool to see him fully embrace the fans and team and stick around.

And then as they were leaving he walked around with security and said bye to a ton of fans on the concourse and around the lower bowl. Cool scene as a lot of the fans dapped him up or shook his had, got selfies with him. A neat thing for him to do as a "thank you" to the fans as he headed out of the Trop one last time as a member of the Rays. Those fans will have some cool stories and pictures from it too, rarely do you get that chance to tell your favorite player "thanks" in person before they are shipped out of town. He's played in hundreds of games on the other side of the fence, he was just curious what it was like to take in a game from the seats and not the dugout.

More players should do this, we saw Joey Votto hanging out in the upper deck when he was hurt, these guys should come kick it with us normal folks and see how we enjoy the game. I will say Tampa is probably one of the few ballparks you can do this. Juan Soto ain't hanging around in the lower bowl of Yankee Stadium, Gunnar isn't kicking it in the Bird Bath. You can do this in Tampa and no one bats an eye. Still a cool scene to see Randy give some appreciation to the fans before he headed west. Wonder if he was able to grab a hot dog and a beer while he was at it?
