This Photo Of Team USA During The Opening Ceremony Is What True Aura Looks Like

There's nothing like the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics. Aside from watching the US win a billion Gold medals, the Opening Ceremony is easily my favorite part of the whole event. There's just something patriotic as hell about watching Team USA cruise into the Games knowing that we're here to kick the rest of the world's ass

Part of why events like this are awesome is sometimes you're blessed with an all time moment. As cool as everything was today, without a doubt one of the best things to come out of the festivities is this photo

Holy shit. I know it's beyond played out at this point and I semi-cringe as I type this, but the only way to properly explain the photo above is that this is what true aura looks like. In fact, I'd go so far as to say this is one of the hardest photos in American history. It's not at the top of the list by any means, but it's on the list. Sure there's a chance I'm being a prisoner of the moment and am just excited the Olympocs are here, but I feel like that's not a hot take. Imagine seeing that picture and then realizing you have to compete against Team USA in all of these events? Pray for the rest of the world.

Somehow after looking at this picture almost instantly this song starts playing all around me

Go ahead, click play on that video and then go look at that picture again and tell me that's not the most American thing of all time? Huge missed opportunity to not be blaring this on the speaker system as they cruised into the Games in my opinion, but that's fine. The picture still plays.

From now until August 11th, it's us against the world. It's time to put aside your personal rooting interests and come together for the sake of gold medals. You think I enjoy rooting for LeBron or Embiid? Heavens no, but this isn't about me. This is about America and it's about dominating the rest of the world in every competition.

Let the Games begin.
