One of the beautiful parts of the Olympics is you get names that you forgot about from 4 years ago. Maybe even 8 years ago. That would be Michelle Jenneke. We all know Michelle Jenneke, she's an Internet legend. If you somehow don't, allow me to introduce you.

That's right, the shimmy pregame routine the whole world knows. Forget LeBron's chalk or the Bulls intro or anything else like that. In the mid-2010s it was the Michelle Jenneke shimmy. Everyone found a way to lock in for Jenneke races. Well, you know what? She's back. She's in the Olympics

[Source] - The period from 2022 to 2023 was particularly fruitful for Michelle, who clocked the 10 fastest times of her career during the period. In 2023, she finished with sub-13-second times on 14 occasions, proving that she’s still going strong.

On the back of her strong performances, Michelle Jenneke – affectionately known as Shelly – has been selected to the Australian athletics squad for the Paris 2024 Olympics and will be making her second Summer Games appearance.

Oh she's not just back. She's the captain

Logical choice. Rightful choice. I'm not exactly sure what a captain does for the Athletics Team, but I know Michelle Jenneke earned it. Running as fast as ever, first Olympics since 2016. Time to get a medal. See you on August 7.
