A Beautiful Moment: Soccer Fans In Norway Got A Match Abandoned By Throwing Fishcakes And Smoke Bombs All Over The Field Because They Hate VAR

This right here is one of the most beautiful moments in sports. A moment when fans from both sides come together against one enemy. That enemy being VAR. We've gone too far with replay in sports. I'm not even anti-replay, it's just gotten to the point that it's impossible to watch any sort of game and get through it without getting pissed at replays. Games start dragging on, every call is nearly wrong so refs can go stare at a monitor. It all sucks. So now you have fans in Norway showing their anger by getting a match canceled. It's perfect, I don't know if fishcakes are good, gonna go with no on that one, but if you're launching food you mean business.

This is how you protest too. I'm sick of the same old bullshit protests. If you hate VAR that much you gotta take matters into your own hands and get a game canceled. What I need to know is how did the planning happen here? Sure we've seen one group of fans protest by throwing tennis balls and such on the field, but to get both sides to agree? In Europe? Damn near impossible.

Bang up job by security though. I assume they have security, no one thought hey it's weird that everyone has fishcakes, tennis balls and smoke bombs? Nothing can go wrong with that. Just your standard Norwegian soccer game. I applaud the cause though. It's time to fix VAR. Stop with the lines and wasting time. Just make a goddamn call.
