NYC Singles Have Resorted To Run Clubs To Find Love And The Turnouts Are Insane

Ask any single New York City resident, and the way they'll tell you that they're dating if it isn't on apps are now *checks notes* run clubs. The West Side Highway is a 5 mile stretch along the .. wait for it... west side of Manhattan, which more like resembles a crowded bar on the weekends while you're trying to walk in 100 degree NYC heat. Why anyone would subject themselves to meeting the love of their life while they're sweating bullets trying to beat their PRs is besides me, but in the most NYC fin-tech way possible, it's now become king.

Who better to explain the phenomenon than one of Barstool's great minds Doogs:

Recently, someone created a "run club for singles" where you run for 3 miles and then head to the bar afterwards. Just look at the amount of people that show up to these things:

I saw maybe three people in that entire video wearing color, which means they're either a throuple or there's only 3 people in relationships that are actually showing up to one of these things. And listen, I'm not trashing these run clubs, because Lord knows that you're better off actually trying to go outside and touch grass than aimlessly swiping through 50,000 hot local singles in your area and never meeting a single one.

I've long said that dating in NYC is pointless and you're better off attempting to win the lottery and dating that IG model of your dreams instead:

But maybe the new meta of run clubs are the way to go? I personally won't be trying them out, but if you're out there looking for love, there's probably worse places you could go. Nate has been working out arms, and I'm not sure if he's in a relationship or not, but maybe he's the Barstool guinea pig for this sorta thing.

What's that quote? If you look for it, I have a sneaky feeling, that you'll find that love, is actually all around? Good luck out there.
