Chaos At The 11th Hole For Shane Lowry: Telling A Cameraman To Get The Fuck Out Of The Way, A 20-Minute Delay, A Fan Impacting The Hole

Full disclosure, I was about to publish a whole what you were missing while you were sleeping blog. Then the 11th happened. Specifically the 11th to Shane Lowry. Tough to post a blog that goes to pointless exactly 1 minute after you schedule it! Why? Simple. Lowry came to the 11th with a 2 shot lead over Daniel Brown (still a real person, somehow). Puts his drive over in the fescue. Okay, just make decent contact and walk out with a bogey at worst. 

Except mayhem happened. You see Lowry freak out on that camera guy? That's because Lowry put his second shot into the gorse. Club tangled, you could see the reaction and then it cost him an OB. Whatever, drop, re-hit and Lowry put it on the green with a chance to make bogey and get out of this hole without a disaster. Again, until chaos happened.

A fan found the ball. That led to the 20 minute delay. There were rulings, taking an unplayable and having to figure out what the hell the distance was from where to hit. I don't know how you find a ball there. It's gotta be someone who hates Lowry, right? Trying to take away the provisional shot on the green and making them take an unplayable. Either way, some good old fashioned 8am Open golf. Get hot again, Shane. He had the lead, in a good spot on 12. Time to get it back.
