BERHALTER OUT NOW: US Soccer Is Waiting A Week, Making Itself Look Dumber For Not Firing Gregg Berhalter As Jesse Marsch Keeps Winning

I don't care how long it took us to find a women's head coach last year. This isn't that close to the same type of story. Berhalter already has been re-hired once, he's already been tied to nepotism and he's failed miserably on the biggest stage. Why are we waiting? Only way it makes sense is if you also fire Matt Crocker, the rest of the leaders there and let Tim Howard take his rightful place as owner, manager, player, whatever he wants.

There should always, always be a backup plan in soccer. USSF had to come into Copa America knowing if Berhalter failed who do they go after. Then again it's pretty easy to make fun of us when an American manager is doing this in the same tournament. The very same manager US people didn't want to replace Gregg despite him basically publicly begging for it:

Say what you want about Marsch's scheme or style of play, he's winning. Copa America is the Tournament to put CONCACAF teams in a matching game of sorts. You see how you play, you know where you sort of stand. Canada is the team in the semifinals. They are the ones who got out of group. They are the ones who look like the class of CONCACAF.

You can't hide from the decision, USSF. We're going to all freak the fuck out if you bring back Gregg again. It's time. Fire him now.
