Nightmare Scenario Of Roller Coaster Riders Having To Walk Back Down The Track After A Medical Emergency

TMZ- Thrill seekers got more than they bargained for at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk ... folks who were riding the classic roller coaster had to be evacuated near the top of the ride!!!

Footage from the beachside theme park shows several riders being led down the Giant Dipper's wooden structure Sunday ... holding on to the railing for dear life as they climb down a huge ramp. They're not quite at the pinnacle of the ride, but they're certainly uphill.

It's pretty scary ... the people being evacuated from the ride had their car stuck at the top of the coaster's lift hill ... so they have a lot of track to cover. In terms of why they had to get out and trek down ... we have an answer, and as it turns out -- it was completely necessary.

Talk about a situation I want no part of. This looks like a nightmare beyond nightmares. I know there are people who are afraid of roller coasters, which I personally never understood. The ride is like 2 mins at a time, even if you are scared or frightened while it's going, two minutes is easy to endure. Plus nothing will ever happen the way they have you locked into the seat. But this situation is way worse.

Walking down a track? Are you kidding me? Fuckkkkk no. That sounds like the worst situation on earth. Being evacuated from a roller coaster sounds like the fastest way to ruin a day ever. Think about it, it's a tight spot up there, you are terrified you will fall, it's high up, and there's cameras everywhere so you know if you fuck up and take a tumble you are facing internet shame on top of all your injuries.

Just a fucking nightmare situation you couldn't pay me to do. I would be the guy sitting on the ride until they figured it out. Side note - one time at an amusement park one of the coasters we were dying to go on had an delay and was closed for a period of time, people were outraged and kept harassing the guy at the rope to what happened, he finally had enough and had to tell the truth. A guy with a prosthetic leg lost it on the ride and they were shutting down the ride to look for it along the path. My family still talks about it.
