Ed Sheeran Continues Completing Side-Quests, Joins Limp Bizkit On Stage For Their 'Behind Blues Eyes' Cover

Ed Sheeran has done it all. He's sold out stadiums and festivals all over the globe, played to millions of adoring fans, released songs and albums that will be played for generations, been in blockbuster movies and television shows, partied with Caleb and Glenny Balls - and now, he's in the side-quest era of his career.

Just last month, he popped up on stage with The Offspring (one of his all time favorite bands) to play 'Million Miles Away' with them....

....and yesterday at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands, he joined Limp Bizkit for their cover of The Who's 'Behind Blue Eyes' - one of the more underrated covers from the early-2000s!

Of course, Sheeran's voice sounds silky-smooth on the tune (to the point I think Fred Durst was blown away) but I'm way more fascinated by what came before all of this than the performance itself. I mean - how'd it all come about? Did Ed Sheeran pop into Limp Bizkit's trailer and gush about how big a fan he was, like he did with The Offspring? Or did Fred Durst intro the conversation and ask Ed to join them on stage? I can't tell you what I'd do to be a fly on that wall! I just need to know what that interaction looked like. Durst and Sheeran seem like polar opposites personality-wise.

Who's next in Sheeran's 90s/00s Infinity Stone collection?! The Offspring, Limp Bizkit - could CREED be on deck? I know they're back on tour now!

P.S. Another random numetal cover that actually slaps is KoRn's version of 'Word Up' by Cameo….
