Bare Knuckle Fighter Gets KO'd On His Feet And Immediately Starts Swinging At The Ref

Here's a pretty wild clip outta BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) last night, where Alberto Blas knocks Keith Richardson out on his feet, and Richardson - still dazed and confused - immediately starts swinging at the referee.

It's obviously scary to see a fighter concussed and out of it on that level, but the way he's still moving on autopilot is pretty genuinely fascinating to me. Lights on/nobody home like he was at the tail end of a Yak Case Race.

Oh, and of course, shoutout to referee Sam Burgos for the tremendous striking defense he displayed here. Sure he might've gotten caught by the first few - but he didn't even know he was in a fight at that point! Once he implemented the Chael Sonnen "I can't let you get close" stance, he was fine....

Richardson stuck around for the post-fight presser, believe it or not, and made me laugh with this comment about the whole situation….

He wouldn't be the first ref to throw on some shorts and get in the ring, either - shoutout Herb Dean….

The UFC's got a great card this afternoon with prelims starting at 12pm ET/main card at 3pm ET and we broke it all down on the Spinnin Backfist show this week….

I love Bobby Knuckles (Robert Whittaker) in the main event, siding with wide load Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main, and I'm even taking a shot at Daniel Rodriguez as an underdog against Kelvin Gastelum.
