Mike Gorman Slamming Beers And Living His Best Life Is What Banner 18 Is All About

This is it folks. This is what it's all about. It still doesn't feel real that Mike Gorman has retired and will no longer be the voice of the Boston Celtics, but if you had to pick a way to go out I'd say slamming Bud Lights at 11am on a duck boat while the Celtics begin their championship parade throughout the city is as good as it gets.

Before the playoffs began, Gorman had just one wish for this group

Not only did they win the thing, they did it in dominant fashion. A playoff run worthy of honoring the living legend, the fact that Gorman got to ride the duck boats one final time before stepping away for good is enough to bring a tear to your eye. If anybody deserves this title and this moment, it's Mike Gorman.

In a day full of celebration and partying and joy, nothing makes me happier as a fan than seeing Mike Gorman happy. That sounds weird I know, but his voice has been in my life for the past 37 years. He is all I know when I think of the Boston Celtics, and it's only right that he gets to ride off into the sunset as not only a true king, but a champion.
