The People's Golfer: Bryson Spent Part Of The Night Celebrating With Fans In The Street Where He Stayed For The US Open

Not a whole lot needs to be said about Bryson's transformation. He's gone from the weirdo everyone made fun of and basically took the Brooks side in a fight to now being embraced. Hell, even he talks about it and recognized it happened.

But it's now at the point that he might be like what? The 2nd most popular player on tour behind Scottie (assuming Tiger doesn't count). Wherever he is, he's on the short list that's for sure. I'd say top-5 at a minimum. He's on that list with guys like probably Rory, Homa, Xander, Spieth, etc. This just confirms it. He went partying with the fans at Pinehurst, came back to the house he was staying at and hung out with people some more. Bryson doesn't do that 3-4 years ago. Hell, people wouldn't do that for Bryson 3-4 years ago.

I'm sure people out there think the whole thing is corny. But this is what the US Open should be like. Embrace the fans, celebrate with the fans. It's our golf tournament. We see it with The Open and how fans are embraced and feel part of the tournament over there. I want that all the time here with the US Open. It helps separate all of the majors too. The Masters has the most exclusive feel to it obviously. The PGA is their tournament. Give me this for the US Open.

He's basically the 2nd most famous person at Pinehurst now. I don't think he'll ever pass Riggs, but he's getting close. This is what you do though when you win the US Open. You celebrate with fans, you collect the sand from your bunker shot.

You hit that bunker shot you can do whatever the hell you want.
