Doc Rivers Blames Philly Fans For "Being Difficult To Play At Home"...Fails To Realize Sixers Were 31-4 At Home The Year Before He Became Head Coach

Giphy Images.

Glenn!!! Out of all the Doc Rivers quotes blaming everything other than himself for his failures, this might certainly take the cake. In what reality are these easily Googable to refute comments made? Doc's Wonderful World Of Happy Horseshit Narnia, of course! All you need to do to enter is drop a few playoff series while ahead at least 3 games to 2 (sometimes 1) and you too can exist in the magical land of sugarplums and make believe!

This friggin' guy, man. It would be one thing if the Sixers were like .500 the season before or had a history of consistently playing scarred shitless in South Philly. But 31-4!!! That's a winning percentage of .885!!! Almost 9 out of 10 games won in front of the only home crowd that Doc felt difficult to play in front of! Actually incredible. At least he's not the our problem anymore. S/o to the Bucks who fired HC Adrian Griffin after starting 30-13 on the year only to have Glenn come in to round out the season at 17-19 with a first round playoff exit. And to think it was all the Bucks' bus driver's fault…

And now we round up the blog featuring Glenn's entire career of spectacularly failing while ahead which arguably is what he's know for best at this point.

2003: Magic vs. Pistons up 3-1

2009: Celtics vs Magic up 3-2

2010: Celtic vs Lakes up 3-2 in NBA Finals

2012: Celtics vs. Heat up 3-2

2015: Clippers vs. Rockets up 3-1

2016: Clippers vs. Portland up 2-0

2020: Clippers vs. Nuggets up 3-1

2022: Sixers vs. Celtics up 3-2

Cue it!
