Kobe Bryant Telling Kevin Love That He Played Half Of His Life In The NBA While Still In The League Has Love Trying To Reach That Milestone Himself
On today's Pardon My Take... KEVIN LOVE! The recurring guest of the show and Miami Heat player joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter to talk about the NBA Finals, what Kyrie needs to do to find it, his top five players in the league, and how sick it was playing in the Olympics.
Love is 35 years old and started his career in 2008 with the Minnesota Timberwolves. After six seasons up there, nearly a decade with the Cavs (including the title with LeBron in 2016), and a couple of years in Miami, the UCLA Bruin just wrapped up his 16th season in the NBA. That is A LOT of basketball.
But in terms of if and when the finish line is in sight, Love says he has at least one more milestone that he wants to reach: he wants to say he played half of his life in the NBA. And where did he learn about this notable benchmark? From the one and only Kobe Bryant. Take a look...
This is a very cool milestone to reach. There are not a lot of guys who can claim that they have spent 50% of the time they have been on this Earth playing professional basketball. And with Love's contract with the Heat going until next year, he will be very close to closing in on that number.
What a great interview this was with Kevin Love. Highly recommend!
