Love Is Back - Days Before The US Open, Rory McIlroy And His Wife Change Their Minds And Call Off Their Divorce

Rory! The news of the divorce originally broke right before the PGA Championship. We all thought the same thing for the most part. Single Rory, get back to snapping the major drought and win a bunch again. Eh, not so much though. Finished T12, fine but not really pushing the leaders type we figured. Then there was the Amanda Balionis storyline:

They couldn't do an interview without everyone on social media trying to read into it. Now we have the US Open at Pinehurst with carnage expected everywhere. We have the US Open with Jon Rahm taking a WD, Scottie on a historic run and now a married (again, kinda) Rory. I don't know what to think. Hey, good for them. They figured it out, but I'm talking strictly from a golf level here. Does he play a little more loose now that he doesn't have to worry about divorce shit? He said this earlier:

He knew what was going on! This has gotta be some good juju, only way I can think of it now. Clear mind, hit greens, make putts. Basically the golf version of Friday Night Lights right there. Hell even clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose works in this scenario. I don't know what happened, but Rory and Erica are back. Gotta think this leads to at least a top-10 this week for Rory. You don't say you're this close to winning a major, fix your marriage and then miss a cut. Can't happen right?
