It's Only A Matter Of Time Before Greg Olsen Is Calling Top Network NFL Games Again
On today's Pardon My Take... GREG OLSEN! The former Tight End and current NFL on FOX broadcaster joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to talk about upcoming TEU, winning an Emmy, being the second FOX game this year, what NIL would’ve looked like for him, and more.
One of the biggest storylines in sports media over the last few months has been the highly anticipated arrival of Tom Brady to the broadcast booth. Just a couple of years after retiring from the NFL, TB12 will be joining Kevin Burkhardt on the No. 1 broadcast team on FOX.
This move unfortunately means a shuffle one spot down for Olsen, who will be on the No. 2 team this fall. But he has handled this tough situation incredibly well, and on today's show, he didn't hide the fact that calling the best games in the NFL once again is on his radar. Take a look:
Patience. Patience. Patience. That's something that couldn't be more true regarding having success in this business. You can have the talent. You can have the experience. You can have the connections. But at the end of the day, luck and timing are some of the biggest factors when it comes to getting a spot in the broadcast booth.
Olsen has put some tremendous tape out there over the past few years, and I have zero doubts that he is going to return to the "A team" at FOX or another network very, very soon.
