Bronny James Declined Over 10 Workout Invites From NBA Teams And Will Only Visit With The Lakers And Suns
I'm sure this one will go over well. In fact, I'm not even sure why I'm blogging this one, as it seems like a normal everyday occurrence to me. I mean, what NBA Draft prospect, that averaged less than 5 points per game on a college team that went under .500, that also had to sit out part of the year with health concerns, doesn't decline 10+ invites from NBA teams heading into the draft?
All jokes aside, this seems like a perfect example for the phrase "Beggars can't be choosers". Because if you went on performance alone, Bronny James should be getting ready to learn Mid-American Conference basketball at Akron or Kent State. There would be a 0% chance he'd get drafted in the NBA, even if none of the NBA media will report that. Instead, we're talking about him DECLINING INVITES from a double digit amount of teams because he only wants to go to Phoenix or LA. Can you imagine what some of those teams are thinking when the received the declined invite? Buddy we were only bringing you in because of your dad anyways. But the fact of the matter is that if you're turning down 10+ NBA teams, you must've gotten word that either the Lakers or Suns are going to draft you. Right? Reminder: the Lakers have the 17th pick and Suns are drafting 22nd overall. Bronny James said fuck your 2nd Round options, I'm taking my talents to the 1st round. And before any of you haters cry Nepotism, let us remember that this country was built on Nepotism! Source: LeBron James' agent Rich Paul
That is such a dumb statement for this situation that I can't even wrap my brain around it. Like, did Rich Paul and LeBron Sr. sit around in the barbershop and think they came up with this genius spin zone that people are going to agree with? Sure, people get promotions and positions in the business world because of their parents. But the idea that Bronny James getting drafted in the first fucking round, despite having an undrafted grade, is just another classic example of America is so outrageous that I can't even argue with them. That's just America at work!
