It Sucks, But Steve Carell Smartly Shut Down Any Talk Of Michael Scott Making An Appearance In The New Series Of 'The Office'

Good, this is how it's supposed to be. Michael Scott is living with Holly and some kids out in Colorado and doing god knows what. He's for sure not living in like Toledo, Ohio or a suburb of Des Moines and working on a failing newspaper company. Why would there be a storyline with Michael Scott?

I said it in the original blog, the whole idea of it being The Office part 2 is dumb. It's just a comedy show based in the universe of The Office, which basically means it's a workplace comedy. You can't have the big names come in. If they wanted to call it The Office, they should have had some secondary character get involved. Shit, didn't Ryan and Kelly end up in Oxford, Ohio and Miami University? There's your chance for some midwest connections to the original cast of The Office.

I'd rather have guys like Michael Scott shut down any sort of chance of being in it. It's the worst part about a beloved show being rebooted. Everyone is going to scream about how it's not as good as the original. Shit, remember when Michael left the show and we had Andy in charge? Bring that up to people and there's pure disgust.

I'll keep saying it for this reboot. Just be funny. If it's entertaining enough, no one will give a shit. We just want to be entertained and laugh a little bit. We're not asking for much. But yeah, makes no sense for Michael Scott to be in the reboot. All that will do is have people begging for him to be the star of it which means we're just watching the original Office again.
