There's Nothing Like The Best Team In Baseball Ripping The Life And Soul Out Of The New York Mets At Citi Field

Dance for us, Queens Crew. DANCE!

What a win by The Fightins. This team, man. This team. After shitting on themselves seemingly every season right out of the gate and having to play catch up, the Phillies are now a MLB leading 29-13 and are off to their best start since 1883 aka EVER. A squad that just doesn't quit and is fighting all game, every game. It's quite simply beautiful to see.

And beating the Mets at Citi Field in this fashion makes life even better. The fact they pulled out a W after entering the 9th down 4-2 vs. one of the most dominant closers in the game

Was that a strike 3 swing on Whit Merrifield?

Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe fuck yourself. But for all the Mets faithful who are blaming the men in Blue for sharting the game away, riddle me this: Diid Diaz enter with a 2-run lead and also give up a home run, another BB, a single, and beam 2024 NL MVP Alec Bohm with the bases juiced to force in the tying run? My point exactly. Take it away, Tank!

1:40 first pitch today. Aaron Nola on the bump for the Phillies. Butto on the hill for the Mets. Here are three random batters and their career numbers off Jose Butto

Bryson Stott: 4 for 7

JT Realmuto: 3 for 5 (1 2B)

Alec Bohm: 5 for 8 (3 HR)

Do with that info as you wish. Let's have a day, baby. Go Phils.

PS - Kody Clemens since being called up after Trea Turner going on the IL - 15 ab, 5 hits, 4 runs, 7 RBI, 2 dingers, and a utility glove worthy of God. Unsung shit.
