The Braves Lose a No-Hitter With Two Outs in the 9th Inning, the Third Time That Has Happened to Atlanta Since 2015

This is fucking bullshit, man. The Braves haven't thrown a no-hitter since 1994 and today was the third time since 2015 Atlanta has lost a no-hit bid with two outs in the ninth inning — and that doesn't even count Mike Foltynewicz losing his no-no to lead off the ninth or several others that have gone well into the game. That's only happened six other times throughout baseball in that same time frame.

Once every few years, you can set your watch to the Braves pitching lights out for the first 8.2 innings and then somebody either blooping one right behind the infield or hitting their first homer of the year.

This weird curse ultimately doesn't really mean anything, but I'd like to see the Braves throw a no-hitter at some point before I die.

The good news is Max Fried has been lights out in his last several starts and Atlanta has won four games in a row. But next time we get to the 27th out having not allowed a base hit, can someone please just lock in and get one more out?
